Things I Love Thursday – Mind on Design Bath Mats

Bath mats have been on my wish list for our Master Bathroom for a while now. We had some small brown ones that were just getting us by until I found what I really wanted. I was looking for something brighter to contrast with our dark tile and some larger ones that filled the space better.

I ran across these mats with my mom at Home Goods and oh my goodness…you guys, they are heavenly. It feels like you’re standing on clouds, I swear! They are AMAZING!!!  They’re the Mind on Design brand and it’s the kind that is loops, they have a couple different styles but these are my FAVORITE!

I am using two that matched the walls in our bedroom to help compliment the adjoining space and then I got one larger tan one for in front of the shower.  My only complaint is that it’s tough to find a matching set. I looked at all the TJMaxx, Marshalls and Home Goods in our area with no luck finding a matching one. Luckily, one of my amazing Instagram followers helped me out and found a match in her area and mailed it to me and I’m so thankful!! If you are in need of a bath mat, definitely give these a try! They  are reasonably priced too, they range from $15-$25.

Someone else seems to love them too! You can often find him on these while we’re getting ready…but I can’t blame him!IMG_2802b

Things I Love Thursday – Sam’s Club Potting Bench

I have already shared this with my social media friends to let anyone know to run grab one while they’re still available but I thought I’d share this on the blog as well in case anyone missed it that may want one for themselves!

I’ve wanted a potting bench for our back patio for quite a while. It’s the perfect piece for parties and just adds so much character to the patio. I fell in love with the one from Pottery Barn (of course) but it’s never going to fit into my budget so when I saw this cedar potting bench at Sam’s Club earlier this summer, I knew it was the perfect Look for Less.

I was given some money for my birthday and immediately knew I was going to spend it on that potting bench. There was no rush to buy it so I’ve been going every weekend to check the price and quantity in stock. I’ve slowly watched the price reduce several times over the past month and finally this week went to check and it was a price I was happy paying. I scored this Cedar Potting bench for $49.81 which was about 75% off and a STEAL! I am SO thrilled to finally have it! It will be so great when we have people over and just a great piece for holding plants and flowers and making our patio that much more welcoming! Run get you one while you can!

Things I Love Thursday – Champagne and Marble QI Charger

For things I love Thursday, I had to share with you my new cell phone charger because it’s kind of…beautiful.

QI_Charger4

Let me start by saying I do not have a love for new technology but I have a husband and several co-workers that do and they share some of the new technology they’re using. So, QI may not be new to you, but it’s new to me! I am also no guru of QI wireless charging but the main idea is that you can set your phone on this charger and it charges your device without plugging anything in.  A lot of new phones automatically support QI charging but if your phone doesn’t, there is a little accessory that you can put behind you battery that enables QI charging.

Last week my coworker got a new phone so he gave me his QI accessory from his old one to make mine QI compatible. I was looking on Amazon for some chargers and ran across this beautiful Champagne and Marble Charging Pad.

I never imagined loving a phone charger as much as I love this one. I’m sure you know what it’s like, you use your phone at night scrolling through Facebook or Instagram and then have to reach down at the foot of the bed in the dark and hunt for the charger and then struggle to plug it in when you can’t see anything (First world problems, I know). Well this charger is amazing, I don’t have to reach down and find the cord to plug it up, it just sits on my nighstand looking all pretty and when I’m ready to charge my phone, I just sit it right on top. That’s it!! I love having a charger that isn’t such an eye sore and makes my life easier!

Things I Love Thursday – Fiddle Leaf Fig Tree

I’m not sure when this trend began but fiddle leaf fig trees are one of the hottest trends in the home décor world right now. I keep seeing them EVERYWHERE, faux and real ones, and I knew I had to have one! It took a lot of searching but I finally found a fiddle leaf fig tree at a local nursery and thanks to my clearance chair, I had birthday money left over to spend on it…WHOOP WHOOP!

I DO NOT have a green thumb but since we’ve been in the new house I’ve been slowly trying to add plants and flowers inside the house and outside and I think I am getting better, I’ve only killed a few small things so far so I’ll consider that a win!

So here is my new fiddle leaf fig tree, Newton. I just sat him inside of a basket I picked up at the thrift store to give him a little more character.

Things I Love Thursday – Park Hill Rustic Hutch

As you all know, I am pretty frugal when it comes to most of the items in our house.  I have “Craigslisted” or used what we already had to fill most of this house but when we saw this hutch in Pimentos, we knew we wouldn’t find another that would compare. Bryant and I both fell in love with it and talked it over for weeks and went to see it in the store a minimum of 4 times. This piece was the biggest furniture purchase we’ve made since we have been married so we wanted to make sure it was worth the money and something we were going to love and use forever.

In the end, this gorgeous rustic hutch came home with us and we couldn’t be happier with it. We have it in our dining room but it would look great in an office or living area too. It’s tall and fills the space nicely and I love the challenge of styling it.

We probably won’t buy a new dining room table for a while but that’s ok! Piece by piece we’ll fill the house with things we LOVE and that we didn’t rush to purchase. I constantly struggle with wanting it all done NOW but filling a home takes time and patience! My husband constantly reminds me it’s a marathon, not a sprint!
